Foundation and Capel Plough announce new partnership
Ipswich Town Foundation and Capel Plough Football Club are delighted to announce a new partnership.
The Foundation’s agreement with Capel Plough will focus on the development of players, allowing Capel players to train in Ipswich Town Foundation sessions, including the Foundation’s Player Development Centres, Elite Player Development Centres and Advanced Training Centres.
A pathway will be provided for students of our Advanced Training Centres and Post 16 Football and Education programme that will see students offered an opportunity to progress into Capel Plough’s male and female senior teams.
The Foundation will be given access to Capel Plough’s facilities, including the 3G facility once it is put in place, which can be used to host community-based activities.
Ipswich Town Foundation will provide opportunities for players and coaches to develop themselves, hosting Post 16 Football and Education information events for parents and students with a view to them joining the programme, as well as running CPD events for Capel Plough’s youth team coaches throughout the year.
“Capel Plough FC have had close links with Ipswich Town Foundation for a number of years now,” Marc Dawson, Head of Girls Development at Capel Plough told the Foundation website.
“We are really pleased we have been able to form a partnership with Ipswich Town Foundation officially. It means we can continue to work closely together for a number of years to come. It means a lot to the Club and the surrounding areas.
“Capel Plough have over 300 players registered, ranging from under 7 through to adults and with plans to start a new Women’s team this coming season, this partnership will offer all of our players opportunities to be involved with Ipswich Town, many of whom support the team and have enjoyed the Club’s successful season.”
This agreement is the latest in a line of agreements between the Foundation and grassroots clubs across Suffolk and the surrounding areas.
“The partnership between Ipswich Town Foundation and Capel Plough FC will create a strong pathway for all of Capel Plough’s players, providing genuine opportunities to access a number of our programmes,” added Foundation Head of Participation and Development Callum Murphy.
“We look forward to hosting a number of our community activities at Capel Plough and their new 3G facility once constructed.”

A good day was had by all who attended our youth end of season presentation day today. It was our first for 3 years and really good to see everyone enjoying themselves. Special thanks to Ipswich Town FC Woman’s Eva Hubbard for handing out all the awards this afternoon!
Capel Plough FC would like to say a huge thank you to Ipswich 102 radio presenter, Natasha Sims for helping the club with press & media for the monumental and televised opening of our SSE FA Girls' Wildcats Centre, earlier this year. Natasha was presented by her daughter Jessica, with a bottle of champagne from the club's committee as a gesture of thanks.
